JOB PURPOSE

  • The Regional Business Manager -  is responsible for selling BW Fusion's innovative fertility, nutritional, and new technologies to growers. A person in this position promotes all BW Fusion, Biodyne, Agronomy 365, and Turf Titan products and services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These are the basic duties and responsibilities of the position and must be performed competently. Basic duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Emphasizes product features based on analyses of growers' needs and on the technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
  • Identifies prospective dealers/growers using business directories, leads from existing clients, participation in organizations, or trade show or conference attendance.
  • Cold calls potential dealers/growers and share with them about the BW difference
  • Prepares sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications or applications.
  • Provides dealers/growers with ongoing technical support.
  • Answers dealers'/growers' questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms and resolves their concerns/issues in a timely manner.
  • Quotes prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications.
  • Assists in collecting account receivable balances when necessary.
  • Visits establishments to evaluate needs or to promote product or service sales.
  • Completes expense reports, sales reports, or other paperwork.
  • Contacts new or existing dealers/growers to discuss how specific products or services can meet their needs.
  • Selects or assists dealers/growers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborates with other departments to set proper service expectation levels and verifies that delivery schedules meet project deadlines.
  • Learns new product specifications and applications as well as studies new scientific or technical products.
  • Plans to prepare and coordinate sales or trade meetings for growers to feature BW Fusion products and technologies.
  • Completes training and attends meetings/workshops/seminars/continuing education appropriate to the position, as assigned and approved by direct supervisor.
  • Informs direct supervisor of all relevant departmental issues in a timely manner.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Complies with BW Fusion policies, including BW Fusion safety policies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a business or related field or equivalent related experience and/or training.
  • A valid state motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales preferred.
  • Excellent communication, selling, and negotiation skills
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable, accountable, and efficient.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This job offers a certain level of flexibility. Employees can work from home or remotely; however, they must be able to travel to attend in-person meetings when required. They must also attend mandatory video meetings when scheduled. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. In a normal workday, an employee will sit 30% of the time, stand 60% and walk 20% of the time. Employees must be able to frequently reach above shoulder level, occasionally squat, kneel, push/pull, climb/balance, and lift from high/low position.
