Josh Messer

If you combined the observation skills of Sherlock Holmes with the soil knowledge of a veteran agronomist, you might come close to describing Josh Messer.

Josh brings two decades of agronomy experience to the diverse farms of North Dakota and Montana, and serves farmers as an Agronomy Consultant for BW Fusion. He studied at North Dakota State University, but most of what he’s learned came from walking fields, digging into soil maps, and helping farmers make decisions that improve yield, profit, and long-term soil health.

His focus on soil fertility and precision ag, especially with tools like Agronomy 365 and Baseline Rx, helps him pinpoint what’s working and what’s holding a field back. “I treat their acres as if they’re my own,” Josh says. “And I try to find that balance between profitability, productivity, and improving soil health.”

He loves digging into the details, the strengths and weaknesses of an operation, and crafting honest, customized plans that help farmers find greater profits and success. 

When he's not in the field, Josh is with his wife, Krista, and their two kids, Harvey and Pippa. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and taking the family on ski trips whenever they get the chance.
